Is Goldfort or Goldfarb Really Goldfoot? TWO Mildred Goldfoots?

Nadene Goldfoot
My tall mother, Mildred Goldfoot nee Robinson
with short great aunt Jenny, my dad's aunt on his mother's side.
born June 29, 1913 in Tigard, Oregon
She had been a Goldfoot since 1932 marrying my dad, Morris.

In looking at a Mildred Goldfoot that isn't my mother, Mildred Goldfoot on a website, I was totally surprised.  This new Mildred Goldfoot was born in 1911 in Bronx, New York while mine was born in  June 1913 in Oregon.  I found the new Mildred on the 1930 census of April 11th.
Mildred had a brother, Justin who was 13.

The New York Mildred was the 19 year old daughter of Harry Goldfoot 43 years and Leah 42 years.  Harry was a Pharmacist in a drug store.  They lived in a Jewish neighborhood in the Bronx in apartment building 1705 on Andrews Avenue.

                                       ****************
On 1920 census of January 8th  I found the family still in the Bronx but listed under the name of Goldfort, but the actual census spelled it as Goldfarb.
There is no Goldfort listed in the Jewish Gen website but there are lots of Goldfus/Goldfoot from Lithuania!  There are also many Goldfarbs and from Russia, too.

Harry Goldfarb was 33, still born in New York but this one was a salesman in dresses.
Flora was his mother and a widow, now head of the family and was 60 years old.
She was from Minsk, Russia and immigrated in 1885.  Flora was naturalized in 1890.
Harry's brothers were Robert, age 27, a shipping clerk in raincoats
David age 24, a clerk at a fur factory
Murry age 22., a shipping clerk in waist hs.
                           ************ ***********
On 1900 census of June 12th  I found Flora when age 40 b: Russia b: Sept 1859 with her husband in Manhattan, New York.  They lived on 2nd Avenue.
Joseph Goldfort, born in Russia was 52.  He was born in May 1848 and was a Girier, whatever that was according to this spelling. He immigrated in 1882.
Harry was 13, born July 1887 in New York
Ray, a girl, probably short for Rachel, was 11, born Dec 1889 New York as all children were born.
Lilly was 9, born July 1891.
Robert was 7, born August 1893
David was 5, born August 1895.
Morris was 3, born October 1897.
Another David, a cousin, was 35 from Russia, born May 1865.
Another cousin was Louis, was 24 from Russia born June 1876.
A stepson lived with them-Isidore age 20 born in October 1880 in Russia
Bessie Lebovitz lived with them and was their servant.  She was also 20, born in May 1880.  That was 13 people in one dwelling.

So, I have a dad, Morris/Maurice and a brother, David.   I also  have a great Aunt Bessie.  This makes 4 names on my Mildred Goldfoot Tree that are already on this other Mildred Goldfoot tree; if Goldfoot  is truly their surname.    This is how genealogy goes.  No wonder we make errors at times.

Eerie Goldfoot Genealogy: Goldfoot and Goldfarb in Portland, Oregon

Nadene Goldfoot
My mother, Mildred Elizabeth Goldfoot nee Robinson
Or: Mildred R. Goldfoot
Mom converted to Judaism when she married my father.
She was the daughter of Frank Hugh Robinson b: Illinois.

It all started when I typed "Goldfoot" into Family Search, the LDS website, and up came a Mildred Goldfoot that turned out to be as shown on census data to be Mildred Goldfarb.  The eye deceives upon first notice.

Mildred Robinson b: June 29, 1913 in Tigard/Portland, Oregon , married Maurice Goldfoot on April 29, 1932 in Kelso, Cowlitz, Washington.  Keep this in mind. She has a great grandson named Dustin.  She died October 5, 2005 at age 92 in Ontario, Malheur, Oregon.  My father, Maurice (Moshe) Goldfoot, born on July 1, 1908,  was a divorcee.

Just look what else I saw.  I found:

Mildred R. Goldfarb b: 1912 living at 135 SW Lincoln, Portland, Oregon (near my father's Lincoln Wholesale Meats)  on the 1920 census .  She was the daughter of Harry Goldfarb born in Russia and wife Leah born in New York.  She had a brother named Justin, 6 years younger than she.   Harry had to be Jewish.  Mildred was a divorcee.  (If the R stands for Robinson, I'll pass out.  There are many Jewish Robinsons with their own Y haplotype.  I match Jewish Robinsons from my father's side and Gentile Robinsons from my mother's side.  Life is not that easy doing genealogy.  Luckily, FTDNA shows which side they are on with a pink or blue icon by the name.

Mildred married Harold Blanck (maybe Blank?) who was born in 1910  living at 218 SW Salmon, and married in Vancouver, Clark, Washington.  Harold Blanck's father was Jacob Blanck and his wife was Dorothy Larsonean, born in Russia.    Mildred Goldfarb and Harold Blank married on 17 March 1943.  She was 31.  Harold must have been Jewish as well.  Mel Blank was.

Mel Blank
b: May 30, 1908
in San Francisco, CA
Son of Frederick and
Eva Blanck of Russia.
Dad, AKA Billy Meshke, fought at the Neighborhood House
in South Portland.

My father went to Failing Grade school in SW Portland being he lived in that area.  He remembers Mel Blank in his class, who invented all the Walt Disney characters:  Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, etc.  Jacob and Harold must be a relation to Mel Blank.

Mildred R. Goldfarb was on the 1920 and 1930 census and 1940 census.  She was later listed on Social Security as being born 16 Feb 1919 and spent her last years living in the Bronx, New York, dying there in March 1995..

How much do you want to bet that we are connected through DNA to Goldfarbs?  I'd find out right now but got the message, Hello Houston, we've got a problem at FTDNA.  I'll wait.  This is enough information to blow my mind.
Problem was fixed and yes, my brother and I match some Goldfarbs on FTDNA.
I matched one man and three women.  One man who has Goldfarb in his ancestors is my 2nd cousin.
My brother, David, matched the same man and three other men and one of my women matches.   They are 4th and 5th cousins.
